EPMAN Thermostatic Oil Sandwich Plate
If you are installing an oil cooler on your vehicle - a sandwich plate is vital! What is often overlooked, is that when running a sandwich plate WITHOUT a thermostat, the oil never gets up to correct operating temperature. Much in the same way when the thermostat is stuck open for coolant. If the oil is not up to temp, it's too thick and not lubricating correctly.
Therefore it's vital, especially in applications being used on the street (regardless if being used for racing) that a thermostatic type sandwich plate is used.
The thermostat opens at 78 degrees.
