Aluminium was chosen here for its very high heat transfer coefficient. Meaning, boost temperature will begin to drop as soon as it exits the turbo. At the base of the radiator, the aluminium then transitions to a one-piece, high strength thick-walled silicone hose, which then wraps around the core support and into the intercooler.
